Exerpeutic 1000Xl Magnetic Review
Ellipticals make great home workout machines because they allow you to work out your entire body on one convenient machine. You can walk, jog, or run on them to get the regular exercise that you need, without putting stress or strain on your joints and muscles during your workouts. The low-impact workouts that you get from using ellipticals make them appealing to a wide range of people.
I wanted to review the Exerpeutic 1000Xl because it has a high capacity of up to 325 pounds, several very useful features, and a reasonable price. With such a high capacity, people who are overweight will be able to use it to achieve their weight loss goals. When you consider the high weight capacity, the low price, and the low impact of the workouts, you can see that many people, not just professionals, will be able to use this elliptical.
Great for Watching TV
I enjoy watching TV and sometimes listening to music when I am working out at home. This is one of the things I like about home exercise that I just cannot get at the gym. Sure there is music and TV at the gym, but they don’t play the kind of music that I like most of the time and they definitely don’t show marathons of Keeping Up with the Kardashians either. Besides, even when they do play songs that I like at the gym, I can’t sing out at the top of my lungs when the chorus starts, like I do at home.
The Exerpeutic 1000Xl uses a V-belt drive and a precision balanced, dual directional flywheel, which makes it ultra quiet to use. You will be able to hear your TV, music, or yourself think – without those annoying squeaks and screeching noises that you get on some machines. Features like the resistance of the machine can be adjusted mid-workout without the need to stop and interrupt what you are doing. All you need to do is turn the knob that is located in the center of the machine to change the resistance level. Checking your pulse can also be done in just a few short seconds by placing your hands on the stationary handlebars.
For people who have joint issues such as knee or ankle injuries, the Exerpeutic 1000Xl is perfect because it gives you a zero-impact workout that will not put stress on your joints. That ankle that you sprained last week or the knee injury last year that is so easily irritated are now no longer reasons for you not to exercise. When you have an elliptical trainer like the 1000Xl, you will have virtually no reasons to skip your workout, and all the reasons why you should workout. You will be able to get your cardio exercise and work out both your lower and upper body while knowing that you will not be putting your joints at risk (if you do have joint issues). This “zero-impact” feature of the 1000Xl also makes it suitable for a wide variety of users. As it is not limited to being used by persons in excellent physical condition, more people, including more members of your family, will safely be able to use it for their workouts.
Suitable for Small Spaces
This elliptical has a relatively small footprint and that makes it suitable for people like me who live in an apartment or have only a small space available for workouts. It is only 54-inches long and 23-inches wide so it will fit in most spaces. Its small size also makes it easy to store away after your workouts. At only 76 pounds it is one of the lightest ellipticals that you will find, and this light weight means that you should be able to move it around without much hassle. There are even transport wheels on the machine to make moving it even easier. Don’t be fooled by its light weight however; this is still a well-constructed elliptical that can accommodate users of up to 325 pounds. That is quite impressive, as the average elliptical will have a weight capacity of only 250 pounds.
Help with Assembly
Assembling workout equipment is never normally a walk in the park, and I know many people who will literally cringe at the thought of having to do any type of assembly work. Some machines are easier to assemble than others, but from what I have read about the Exerpeutic 1000Xl it is not one of the easy ones. Difficulty in assembling this machine is one of the most common complaints from users. It seems that the instruction manual is not as clear as it could be and many people find this frustrating. On the bright side, once the assembly is complete, it’s done and you won’t have to do it again.
The 13-inch stride length of the 1000Xl is quite short; taller people will not be able to use this elliptical comfortably with such a short stride. This will not be an issue for people of average or below average height – they will be able to use this machine just fine. But anyone 5’7” or taller should look for ellipticals with a longer stride. That being said, I find that short stride-length is a common issue with most ellipticals, especially at this price point.
This is not the cheapest elliptical that you will find on the market, but it is very close. You will typically be able to find it for under $200 and that makes it affordable for most pockets. I would recommend the Exerpeutic 1000Xl for people who are new to working out on ellipticals and also have a limited budget. For a great price you will get a machine that has many of the features you will find on more expensive models. People who have joint problems will be able to use it safely, and you can entertain yourself with music or your favorite TV shows while you enjoy a low-impact, full-body workout on this machine.
